Loan Boxes

Our loan box programme allows schools to develop their teaching across the KS1 and KS2 curricula, with a wide range of historical artefacts, replica objects, and useful resources.

Immersive Tours

Our KS1 and KS2 packages include a guided tour of the house from a historic costumed interpreter, who will enable the children to bring their chosen tour to life through immersive storytelling and interactive roleplay activities.

Become a Historian

In their visit to a manor home with more than 400 years of history, KS1 and KS2 students can step into the shoes of the past. Topics include the life of King James I’s son Prince Henry, the Great Fire of London, and over a century of medical relief for Greenwich’s veterans and civilians.

Open Fridays

Every third Friday of the month, we invite the public for a guided exploration of Charlton House & Gardens. Discover 400 years of history in this remarkable manor house built for the tutor of James I's son, Prince Henry.

Tours are £5 per person, and free for children under 12.
