Victorian Christmas Cards
Come to see Victorian Christmas cards from the RGHT Museum collection over the festive season. The “penny post” was first introduced in Britian in 1840. A single penny stamp would allow a letter or card to be sent anywhere in the country. This paved the way for the first Christmas cards which became very popular in the Victorian era.
This display will be free to see in the Study of Charlton House until the 20th of January 2025.
