Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust is currently redeveloping its education programme for both schools and colleges.

Schools and Colleges

As part of plans for a new creative district in Woolwich, Greenwich Heritage Centre is now closed to the public to allow redevelopment of several of the buildings of the Arsenal including a new museum and archive. To find out more about about the redevelopment phase, please click here.

During our redevelopment phase, our museum and archive collections will be located at an external store while the team will be moving to our sister site, Charlton House.
We are currently putting together plans for a school’s programme for the development phase when visits to Greenwich Heritage Centre will be unavailable. We would very much appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. To help us understand the best options for future workshops and resources, we have put together a short survey for teachers. If you would like to take part in the survey, please click here

We will be sending updates on the education programme via our teacher mailing list. To join the mailing list, please click here

If you have any comments or questions about the education programme, get in touch with Learning and Participation Officer, Kayleigh Edun by emailing kayleigh@rght.org.uk

  • Such a perfect, child-friendly venue and Kayleigh is very engaging with the children. I always enjoy trips here and so do the children. Thank you!

  • Teacher was very supportive and informative, great relationship with the children. All children were engaged, a main factor that ensured this was the support staff.

  • My 7 year old & 4 year old loved the mask making activities followed by the hunt round Charlton House at Halloween. Great day Out!

  • Fantastic hands-on session which allowed all the children to immerse themselves in the Victorian experience. Great opportunity for children to develop their understanding of Victorian washday.

  • Excellent, really well organised and presented.

  • Fantastic – well structured – a variety of imaginative, interesting activities that have engaged the interest of the children.

  • I really enjoyed myself today, I wish I could do it again!
