We are very pleased to announce that Janet Denne has been appointed as CEO of Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust.
Janet has been at the trust since 2020, previously as Director of Public Programming, and since March 2023 as Interim CEO. She brings a wealth of experience in the heritage sector having previously relaunched the refurbished National Maritime Museum in 1999 and as a key member of the team that delivered the £8.5M conservation project to restore the Painted Hall ceiling at the Old Royal Naval College in 2019.
“It is a privilege to head up the organisation that looks after so much of the rich heritage of the Royal Borough of Greenwich,“ said Janet. “I am very much looking forward to working with our local communities and stakeholders to continue the preservation of our heritage buildings and provide opportunities for engagement with Charlton House and the borough’s heritage collections.”
Janet’s priorities for 2024 are to streamline the finances and build capacity to broaden its income base, as the Trust continues to provide excellent access opportunities to the borough’s important heritage.
“We are delighted to appoint Janet permanently as CEO of the Trust,” said Len Duvall, OBE, Chair of Greenwich Heritage’s Board of Trustees.
