Flying the Nest
Greenwich Heritage Centre
Sat 7th July, 11am-4pm
Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust has exciting plans to share with the people of Greenwich, as we begin to develop plans for a brand new 21st century museum. Located on the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, the site of a new Creative District pioneered by Royal Borough of Greenwich, Greenwich Heritage Centre has been presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform our museum and archive offer into a twenty-first century, and beyond, visitor experience.
To develop these plans Greenwich Heritage Centre will be closing for a period of redevelopment. The Heritage Centre’s final day of opening will be Saturday 21 July.
Once settled into the new development phase you’ll see us popping up around the borough with family activities, pop-up museums, talks, walks and much more.
Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust invites its friends, partners and the public to come and celebrate the end of this era as well as ring in the new, at its special ‘Flying the Nest’ celebratory event on Saturday 7 July, in the knowledge that it will be reappearing on the Arsenal in the not too distant future.
