Charlton House & Gardens
Every third Friday of the month
After a long period closed to the public, our hidden heritage gem will open its doors and secrets one Friday a month, with an artisan market open and a lunchtime brass concert outside.
Friday 15th July:
Come behind-the-scenes at Charlton House & Gardens, and discover 400 years of history in this remarkable manor house built for the tutor of James I/VI's son, Prince Henry. Your guide will lead you through both day-to-day life in the House, and the estate's connection to landmark historic moments and people, including the Royal Family, the tradition of Horn Fair, and World War I & II.
Open Fridays tours are an hour long and are £5 per person at noon and 2pm. Children under 12 can join the tour free of charge.
Make a day of it! Our friends at the Producers' Market will have goodies, artisan crafts, and food available from 10am to 2pm. You can also enjoy lunch, tea, and coffee & cakes at Frilly's Tea Room.
Don't miss! Brass on the Hill will play a lively FREE concert of jazz, pop, and world music on our back patio at 1pm. Visit the Eventbrite for programme information and more details.
We recommend the use of face coverings and social distancing in our indoor spaces.
