There is plenty to see and do at Charlton House & Gardens, whether you are coming as an individual, with friends, or as a family.
With free entry, you can explore and learn all about the long and eventful history of the beautiful jacobean rooms, corridors and staircases you will discover, as well as the stunning walled gardens and grounds.
The house was built between 1607 and 1612 for Sir Adam Newton, who was tutor to Henry, Prince of Wales - the eldest son of James I. It is one of the finest surviving Jacobean manor houses in England.
