"Making Woolwich" Volunteers
We are currently recruiting volunteers to help with our brand new exhibition "Making Woolwich" at the Greenwich Heritage Centre.
To create this exhibition, we are going to need the support of an active group of volunteers. In particular we are looking for volunteers to do two specific roles:
- Events and Evaluation - Recording local people's opinions on the project and the content that we should inlcude is a vital part of the work that we are doing here. We also want to record people's own memories, stories and associations with the RA in Woolwich. This volunteer role will see you meeting and talking with members of the public and recording their contributions. You will also be able to assist the Trust staff in evaluating the information gathered.
- Research - Discovering information about the history of the RA and the associations that they have with Woolwich (both formal and informal) is key to our creating this exhibition. We are looking to have a team of people work with our and other archives to find out information about the men and women of the Regiment, and the many people and sites in Woolwich that connect to the RA.
Please see our "Making Woolwich" Page for more information about this exciting project: https://www.greenwichheritage.org/visit/greenwich-heritage-centre/making-woolwich-a-new-permanent-exhibition
