Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust's volunteers are a core part of our day to day events, research and education

We have a wonderful team, helping deliver our extensive programme of events. If you would like to join us, gain an insight into museum life and learn new skills, get in touch to find out what’s currently available.

Volunteer Roles

Our previous volunteer roles have included:

Working with our archives and collections to find out more about the borough for projects and exhibitions.

Working closely with our Museum collections, cataloguing and repackaging objects.

Assisting with our event programme preparations and activities.

Helping us use our museum and archives to teach schools, colleges and families and help people find out about our heritage.

Working closely with our marketing and communications manager to support with marketing activities of the trust, and carry out essential research and development.

Learning Volunteer

As a learning volunteer you will help with outreach activities delivered as part of Meet the Collection in community spaces such as libraries, festivals and community centres. Volunteers play a really important role in engaging communities and families with the collection and archive on display and will help explain and support activities and collect feedback. You will also have the opportunity to support family activities that take place at Charlton House.

To apply please send your CV and a one page covering letter to Helen Young by email.
